11th Annual “Pride of Ownership” Drive
The Organising Committee of your Club has made arrangements to hold the 11th Annual “Pride of Ownership” Drive on Sunday the 21st of March 2010. This “Annual” event of the Club will commence from the Hilton- Colombo and proceed to the Ramada-Katunayake, ON SUNDAY THE 21st OF MARCH 2009.
STAGE 1- 8.am Assemble at the Hilton-Colombo Sports Center car Park. All Beetle Owners should report to the Recorders Table before 8.30am. Please obtain your lunch coupons from the Recorders Table as no Coupons will be available at the venue. A “light” breakfast will be served courtesy of the Hilton-Colombo to the participants of the Drive. Also please be by the side of your Beetle prior to the Flagging off of the Drive to be introduced to the special invitees of the event.
STAGE 2- The Drive will be “Flagged off” at 9.30 am “SHARP”, Late Comers Please note.
STAGE 3- 11.00am Arrive at the Ramada Hotel, Katunayake
STAGE 4- Beetle Fun events to entertain you all. Pool facilities are also available to those interested.
STAGE 5-12.00noon – Fellowship Buffet Lunch at a subsidized rate of Rs.1300.00 per person (half rate for children between the ages of 5-12 years of age).
The award ceremony will take place after the fellowship Lunch followed by afternoon Tea prior to departure. Please note all those who are interested in participating in this “All-important” event of the Club, should complete the attached Entry Form and return to the undersigned along with Cheque/Cash for the Lunch Tickets and arrears of Membership on of before the 16th of March 2010. Please indicate clearly the Lunch Tickets that is required in the Entry Form. All Tickets must be obtained at the Starting point of the Drive. Please forward the duly completed Form without delay, as prior arrangements have to be made to ensure a smooth service at the venue.
No Last Minute Entries will be accommodated, Hence Please ensure to respond by the stipulated date. All Cheques should be drawn in favor of the “VW Beetle Owners’ Club”. A newly designed limited edition Club T Shirt will be available for purchase at the Start of the Drive. Your kind participation in this “Annual” event of the Club would go a long way in strengthening the activities of your Club.
